CSIT ExCom by bike

After the meeting on Friday, the CSIT ExCom went on an emission-free inspection tour by bike on Saturday.

Led by CSIT President Bruno Molea, the CSIT ExCom was on tour by bike in Cervia on Saturday morning after the successful meeting on Friday. On the agenda was the inspection of the venues for the CSIT Single ChampionshipsMamanet and Beach-Soccer, organised by AICS from 10 to 12 June in the town centre and on the beach. It was very important for the CSIT ExCom to welcome the athletes in person again after such a long time. Also the Korean delegation joined the group by bike. With 30 degrees and sunshine, the weather was just as excellent as the sporting performances shown by the athletes.

One of the most important aims of CSIT's Social Mission is to keep the championships and events as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. As one of the steps to reducing the footprint in the event organization and management, the new commuting strategy during the events was implemented.

On Saturday afternoon, we will travel by bus from Cervia to Cesenatico, the venue of the CSIT Gymnastics Championships, which are organised and run in parallel by FISAC and FITKID in the neighbouring town. Saturday is also the big closing ceremony of the Single Championships on the beach of Cervia. A total of around 1,000 athletes from the USA, Germany, Surinam, Tunisia, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Moldova, Latvia, Austria, Israel, Iran and Italy have travelled to Cervia.
