Important SportAccord Meetings in Birmingham
The SportAccord was a very important event from the CSIT's point of view with many important discussions and important as a platform for many further steps both for the CSIT as an organization and for the CSIT World Sports Games, as its most important event. The 2024 edition has been running since Monday, with the global players in sport coming together and rushing from meeting to meeting. CSIT President Bruno Molea and his leading team presented CSIT and its 8th CSIT World Sports Games, which will be held in Loutraki, Greece, in June 2025.
On the very first day, CSIT President Bruno Molea and his team had a packed programme and met with a number of organizations and their representatives. CSIT welcomed as Guest SportAccord Vice President und AIMS - Präsident Stephan Fox. AIMS ist the interantional Alliance of Independent Recognized Members of Sport. The meetings also included CISM, the International Military Council, President Nilton Gomes Rolim Filho and Secretary General Roberto Recchia. Another meeting took place with CSIT Co-Operations Partner FICS and Dr. Brian Nook, Dr. Fayd Deane and Dr. Bradly Sandler as well as with Thailand's Governor of Sports.
The SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2024 wrapped up Thursday after an inspirational week that will shape the future of sport and leave a transformative legacy in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Against the backdrop of what many described as the busiest SportAccord exhibition ever, high-calibre participants in the conference programme included Olympic champions and leading industry figures such as Epic Games Vice President and Co-Founder Mark Rein; UK Sport Chair Dame Katherine Grainger; Olympic Broadcasting Services CEO Yannis Exarchos; Rob Alberino, Vice-President of Content and Production, Kansas City Chiefs; Wayne Barnes, Former Rugby World Cup referee and many more. Topics of discussion and debate ranged from sustainability, innovative technology, fan engagement and new event models to governance, esports and athlete wellbeing.
