CSIT World Sports Games 2025

World Sports Games 2025 in Loutraki, Greece

Loutraki, Greece, was chosen as the host city during a CSIT Executive Committee meeting in Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. CSIT President Bruno Molea stated that the decision to award Loutraki the Games was based on its alignment with CSIT's philosophy after a lengthy discussion.

Loutraki, situated between Athens and Olympia, is a unique year-round tourism destination, known for its connection to sports and hosting various events. It will be the first time Greece hosts the CSIT World Sports Games (WSG: 3. - 8. June 2025), with over 40,000 athletes participating in sporting events in Loutraki over the last decade. With convenient transport links to Athens and acclaimed beaches awarded the "Blue Flag of Europe," Loutraki is recognized for hosting major cultural and sporting events. The municipality emphasizes the development of sports and health tourism.

The Hellenic Organization for Company Sport and Health (HOCSH), a CSIT member since 2019, played a role in the delegation. HOCSH President Mr. Nikos Kerasovitis and Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi Mayor George Gkionis received the CSIT flag at the 2023 Games' closing ceremony in Cervia.

The Hellenic Organization for Company Sport and Health (HOCSH) is committed to organizing the CSIT World Sports Games effectively. With a volunteer board since 2011, HOCSH focuses on social exchange, health improvement, and sport for all. HOCSH actively promotes an active lifestyle, particularly among youth, aiming to increase health awareness and foster a culture of sports. The collaboration between HOCSH and CSIT shares common values in sports spirit and fair play, contributing to the development of sports culture.

Looking ahead to WSG2025, HOCSH plans to finalize venue bookings by the end of 2023. The sports program, developed in collaboration with CSIT, will feature travel packages available from summer 2024, inclusive of various accommodation options and early bird discounts. Opening and closing ceremonies, along with daily events, promise a festive atmosphere in collaboration with the municipality and cultural organizations. The official website, social media channels, and promotional materials are set to be released before May 2024.
