Celebration of Amateur Sports and Cultural Exchange in Loutraki, Greece

The World Sports Games every two years are the biggest event of the International Sports Confederation CSIT. In 2025, the 8th edition of the internationally very popular sporting event for professionals and amateurs will take place in Loutraki, Greece, from June 3rd to June 8^th 2025. The picturesque coastal town is located between Athens and Olympia, directly at the entrance to the Greek peninsula of Peloponnese. The CSIT WSG are not only a celebration of amateur sports, but also cultural exchange and the unity of thousands of participants from all over the world.

The CSIT World Sports Games are not merely about competitive sports. They embody the spirit of inclusivity, tolerance, respect, and fair play. Rooted in the tradition of the International Workers' Olympiads of the 1920s/30s with almost 80.000 people, WSG create nowadays a platform for amateurs of all ages, genders, nationalities, and cultural exchange and fun. A come together as one global family. Amateurs with different ages and genders from different countries and cultures from all over the world. A huge cultural festival, a worldwide family, gathering sports friends, making lifelong friendships.

Last edition of the CSIT WSG 2023 in Cervia with 5,000 participants spread across 7 cities and 47 competition venues in Emilia Romagna were pompous and colorful and a complete success. The Games will be remembered in many ways, as shown by the spectacular opening ceremony with 3,500 people and a parade of 44 nations from all over the world. With the Closing Ceremony, an impressive closing party with the taking down of the CSIT flag and the handover to Loutraki in Greece for the WSG2025.

The motto of the CSIT WSG 2025 is promising a week of sports, friendship, and cultural exchange in Loutraki. CSIT President Bruno Molea expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming edition: "Our WSG represent a very important moment of competition, fun, and social inclusion for the 80 members of CSIT coming from all over the world." He emphasized the event's role not only in promoting sports but also in showcasing Greece as a prime tourism destination.

Having hosted various sporting events for over a decade and welcomed more than 40,000 athletes, Loutraki is honored to host the next CSIT World Sports Games and bring the Championship to Greece for the first time.
