Big sports program in Cervia and Cesenatico

This week, CSIT Single Championships in Mamanet, Gymnastics and Beach Soccer as well as the CSIT ExCom Meeting will take place in Italy at the same time.

The preparations for the CSIT World Games 2023 in Rome, the most important event of the CSIT, are currently already in full swing. The WSG 2023 will also be the main topic of the CSIT ExCom Meeting from 9 to 12 June in Cervia (Italy).

The region of Cervia and Cesenatico was chosen to host the next CSIT ExCom meeting because three CSIT Singles Championships will be held there in parallel with GYMNASTICS (Cesenatico) from 8 to 12 June and MAMANET (Cervia) and BEACH-SOCCER (Cervia) from 8 to 12 June. They are planned as a special celebration of reunification and should be the starting signal for a restart of CSIT sports events. During their attendance, ExCom members will have the opportunity to visit the various events in person and maintain direct contact with the associations present. Due to the many Corona-related postponements and cancellations in the recent past, the next CSIT World Sports Games will not be held again until next year 2023 in Rome after a break of four long years. In those four years, there was hardly any opportunity for the large CSIT sports family to meet, talk about the WSG or participate in other international CSIT events. Therefore, some CSIT Singles Championships were unceremoniously merged to give the participants the feeling and spirit of CSIT WSG, at least in a small way.

Two more Single Championships
Besides GYMNASTICS, MAMANET and BECH-SOCCER in Italy, two more CSIT Singles Championships are planned in 2022. SWIMMING will take place in Oulu (Finland) from 24 to 28 August and PETANQUE in Timimoun (Algeria) from 13 to 18 October. According to the CSIT regulations, at least four CSIT member federations have to be registered there as well in order to be able to organise CSIT championships. In order to get as many athletes as possible on the starting line, the registration deadline for these events is extended and remains open! Registration for all these CSIT sporting events is then final and the relevant cancellation conditions apply.
