About the Project

Sports have the power to bring people together, break down barriers, and promote inclusion. PLAYINC4KIDS is a European initiative dedicated to fostering social inclusion in grassroots sports by creating environments where children with and without disabilities play, train, and compete side by side in traditional team sports.

Beyond the game itself, the project focuses on the entire grassroots sports environment, ensuring that all individuals involved—children, parents, coaches, and communities—contribute to building an inclusive and supportive sporting culture.

Project Objectives

Creating Inclusive Sports Teams: Encouraging children with and without disabilities to play together in team sports and official championships, ensuring equal opportunities for participation.

Empowering Coaches: Developing specialized training programs to enhance coaches' skills in designing and managing inclusive sports environments. This includes strategies for group management, adapting sports activities, involving parents, and fostering a positive team culture both on and off the field.

Educating Through Sport: Promoting 21st-century skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving among children and young athletes, using sports as a fun and effective learning tool.

Making an Impact

By implementing these strategies, PLAYINC4KIDS aims to create a long-lasting shift in how grassroots sports embrace inclusion. The project will equip coaches, sports organizations, and communities with the necessary tools to make sports truly accessible to all children, regardless of ability.
