New Stars are born

Young gymnasts got their first taste of international competition and performed brilliantly

CSIT WSG2025 Loutraki

Thursday was the turn of their older colleagues, Friday was the first major international appearance for most of the young gymnasts aged between seven and eleven at the 8th CSIT World Sports Games in Loutraki. They competed individually and as a team on floor, vault and balance beam. Their ambition, commitment and demeanour were just as professional and focused as their great role models. Only the execution, i.e. the beauty of the performance, was judged. And all the girls put in great performances and were deservedly celebrated frenetically by the spectators in the hall. Some of the youngsters were also able to demonstrate their extraordinary talent. Some are predicted to go on to great things if all goes well and no injuries occur. "You can see that when they walk into the hall. You can tell that they are something or could become something,‘ says technical delegate Cornelia "Conny" Gujan from Switzerland. The girls were awarded the coveted CSIT medals for Excellent in Gold, Very Good in Silver and Good in Bronze for their commitment and performance. 25 young ladies from Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Slovakia travelled to Greece with their families and have already made big plans for the next CSIT World Sports Games. In total, more than 80 women were registered for the gymnastics competitions.
A great success for the CSIT and a great success for the sport.
