New EU PROJECTS - CSIT in PLAYINC4KIDS

CSIT is actively participating in PLAYINC4KIDS – PLAY INClusive sport environments for children with and without disability (aged 6–13) and their parents.

PlayInc4Kids Launches to Promote Inclusion in Grassroots Sports Across Europe

CSIT is thrilled to introduce PlayInc4Kids, a new EU-cofunded initiative committed to promoting inclusive grassroots sports for all children—regardless of their abilities.

Building upon the success of the original PlayInc project launched in 2021, PlayInc4Kids advances this mission by developing and testing a scientifically grounded methodology aimed at fostering the participation of children with cognitive disabilities alongside their non-disabled peers in traditional team sports.

Our Mission

To create inclusive sports environments where children aged 6–13 can play, learn, and grow together.

Key Objectives of PlayInc4Kids:

  • Develop a research-based methodology to support inclusive grassroots sports

  • Train coaches to confidently lead inclusive sports teams

  • Pilot inclusive sport environments in Italy, Spain, Austria, and Croatia

  • Engage 160 children and their families in inclusive team sports

  • Evaluate the social impact and disseminate findings across Europe’s grassroots sports networks

The project is co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by AiCS (Italy). Alongside CSIT, the consortium features expert partners including the University of Bologna and Around Sport (Italy), HLA and NK Istra (Croatia), and UCEC and AURA (Spain).
