New EU PROJECTS - The Youth Drop-In Sports (YDIS)

CSIT is pleased to announce a new EU co-funded project participation and the launch of a new initiative
The EU Youth Drop-In Sports (YDIS) project, which addresses the high drop-out rate from sport among young people. Despite the proven benefits of physical activity, research shows that participation in sport declines significantly between the ages of 13 and 18. This decline can have long-term consequences for young people's health, well-being and social development. YDIS aims to explain the reasons for youth sport drop-out and find practical, evidence-based solutions. Young people, teachers and coaches should explain what is going wrong and what they need to stay engaged. To support this work, students (13-19 years old), coaches and teachers are invited to complete a short survey conducted by Sport e Salute S.p.A. in collaboration with CSIT and grassroots partners across Europe. It takes a few minutes to complete the Survey. It is completely anonymous and will help to develop new strategies and programs.
