Merci Paris 2024 – Hello Los Angeles 2028

CSIT congratulates the IOC and the organizers on perfect Olympic Games

From the beginning of the 2024 Olympic Games with a memorable evening and an impressive and unprecedented opening ceremony in a 6 km long water convoy on the Seine, to the spectacular end in the Olympic Stadium "Stade de France", the 2024 Games were something we have never seen before. CSIT President Bruno Molea and the whole CSIT movement congratulate the IOC on a perfect organization and Olympic Games that the participating athletes and many millions of viewers around the world will certainly not forget.

In his closing speech, IOC President Thomas Bach praised the athletes' achievements for having "ignited enthusiasm" worldwide, but also pointed to a turning point in the Olympic movement - a "new era". "The Paris 2024 Olympic Games were a celebration of athletes and sport at its best," said Bach. "The first Olympic Games to be held entirely within the framework of the IOC reforms and the Olympic Agenda: younger, more urban, more inclusive, more sustainable. The first Olympic Games with full gender parity."

Many of the almost 10,000 athletes taking part, as well as the medal winners from Paris, have grown up in the network of millions of amateur clubs worldwide that have accompanied the athletes in their efforts and goals up to the Olympic Games. There is still a long way to go, but the support of the clubs is no less important. Including everyone in the CSIT network, which will host its next World Amateur Games in Loutraki (Greece) in June 2025. Perhaps we will also see future Olympians there.

Maybe already in the USA!
