Kirsty Coventry is IOC-President

In the name of the CSIT, President Bruno Molea congratulates Ms. Kirsty Coventry on being elected

Ms. Kirsty Coventry is the 10th President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the first female President. The two times olympic medaillist in swimming from Zimbabwe will take over from President Thomas Bach, whose 12-year term will come to an end in June 2025. Coventry was chosen over fellow presidential candidates HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, David Lappartient, Johan Eliasch, Juan Antonio Samaranch, Lord Sebastian Coe and Morinari Watanabe.
The CSIT is recognized by IOC since 1986 and is looking forward to continuing the excellent cooperation with the IOC after the Bach era. CSIT wishes President Bach, who is stepping down, all the best!
