CSIT WSG2025 Loutraki

Almost all of the 4,500 participants of the 8th CSIT World Sports Games and many of the country's officials from the arts, culture, politics and sport attended the closing ceremony of the CSIT WSG2025 on Saturday evening in Loutraki Beach Park. After the entry of the many participating nations with all the flags from 56 countries, there were many words of thanks from Loutraki Mayor Georgios Gkionis, from local politicians, from Nikolaos Kerassovitis, the President of the Greek organiser HOCSH and from CSIT President Bruno Molea, who thanked the organiser, the participants and above all the many volunteers, without whom these games would not have been possible in this form. Bruno Molea opened the games on Wednesday and closed them on Saturday evening with the classic closing sentence ‘I declare the Games in Loutraki for officially closed.’ Everyone at the closing ceremony agreed that the Loutraki CSIT WSG2025 were great games that will remain in everyone's memory. Games with many good performances and, in the end, many new friendships that extend across large parts of the world. After the closing ceremony of the Games, a colourful hustle and bustle with dancing, singing, socialising and cultural exchange developed along Loutraki Beach in the centre of the city until the early hours of the morning. All in the spirit and according to the guiding principles of CSIT. At the end, as always, there was the coveted exchange of jerseys and official national shirts.
Mexico to the USA, Finland to Greece, Italy to Austria, Germany to Mali, Costa Rica to Brazil. Chile to Australia. Hong Kong to the Ukraine. All continents were represented. In the end, the athletes from the 56 participating nations all agreed: we'll be back for the 9th CSIT World Sports Games in 2027.
