CSIT ExCom Meeting in Africa
The CSIT is holding its ExCom meeting in Hammamet, Tunisia, from 12 to 13 June, at the invitation of its member organisation, ONCST Tunisia. The programme includes a strategy meeting on Friday and the regular ExCom meeting on Saturday, featuring updates on the upcoming 2027 CSIT World Sports Games in Aalborg (Denmark). The CSIT is going for the first time to another continent in Tunisia in Northern Africa. The CSIT was welcomed by Mohamed Aymen Ben Abid, the Section Chief of the regional commission for youth and sports of Sousee and Noureddine Bibeni, 2nd Vice President of ONCST.
In his opening address, Mohamed Aymen Ben Abid said: “This meeting reflects our shared commitment to promoting sport as a tool for development, inclusion, solidarity and international friendship,” which is precisely in line with the values of the CSIT. He added: “We greatly appreciate the valuable work carried out by CSIT in promoting the principles of sport for all and strengthening cooperation between its member organisations. Tunisia, through the National Organization for Culture, Sport and Labour, remains committed to deepening its partnership with CSIT and to hosting regional and international events under its auspices. This commitment reflects our confidence in the power of sport to bring people together and our ambition to position Tunisia as a leading destination for international sporting events.”
