CSIT EU Projects in full swing

CSIT's EU-funded project portfolio is in full swing, with five ongoing projects all progressing on schedule. Those that kicked off in 2026 have now entered their needs analysis phase — a critical stage in which we engage directly with our target groups to better understand their needs, experiences, and expectations before moving into development. Here is where things stand:

  • Focused on the experiences of mothers in sport during pregnancy, postpartum, and ongoing motherhood. The project is currently in the needs analysis phase, collecting survey responses and conducting interviews with people across the sports sector. Best practice examples have already been compiled.

  • Aimed at improving women's leadership in sport. The project is currently in the needs analysis phase, running a survey to better understand the current landscape and identify where gaps and opportunities exist.

  • Promoting active ageing, social inclusion, and intergenerational cooperation through sport by bringing together young leaders (18–30) and seniors (55+) to co-design inclusive sport programmes. The project's Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM) takes place this weekend in Finland, alongside the CSIT Senior Formation Course.

  • Dedicated to creating inclusive sport environments for children aged 6–13, both with and without disabilities. The project works to build grassroots sport settings where all children can develop motor and social skills equally, while equipping coaches with specialised training to design and manage inclusive teams.

  • Aimed at addressing hate speech and discrimination against LGBTIQ+ individuals in sport. The project collects and analyses data, reviews existing research, and documents experiences from athletes and stakeholders across Europe, with the goal of developing practical tools and recommendations for sport organisations.
