125 Years of KALEV Estonia

The ‘Kalev 125’ celebrations and the 7th Gymnastics Festival in Estonia were more than just a sporting event – they were a celebration of community, culture and an unbroken spirit of solidarity. In total, over 10,000 participants, volunteers and spectators made for an unforgettable experience that honoured the history of the CSIT member organisation whilst inspiring future generations. CSIT Vice-President Christian Vifian was one of the many guests of honour.

KALEV President Renee Meriste thanked the numerous guests of honour, participants and spectators: “For 125 years, Kalev has been convinced that sport creates stronger people, stronger communities and stronger nations. We are proud to share these values with our CSIT friends around the world. On behalf of the Estonian sports club Kalev, I would like to thank the entire international sporting family for their warm congratulations on our 125th anniversary. Thank you very much for celebrating this milestone with us. The story of Kalev continues.”

Christian Vifian, Vice President of the CSIT, congratulated the organizers of KALEV’s 125th anniversary celebration on behalf of the CSIT and extended his best wishes to them. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation to this superbly organized celebration: “We are proud to have KALEV as an innovative member of the CSIT sports family!”
